Monterey Aquarium

On Saturday, we went to the wonderful Monterey Bay Aquarium. It had been awhile since I had been and this time we got to see a few things I’d never checked out before.

If you go I highly recommend checking out the following:

Kids at the Aquarium Sage, Sean and Sam under the wave at the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Kelp Forrest Feeding

Although the Kelp Forrest on it’s own seems like just a giant tank of fish, watching a diver jump in and hand out pieces of sea food to it’s inhabitants certainly adds to the excitment.

Of the ten years the diver we watched had worked their this was the first time he’d ever hand fed the wolf eel.

Sea Otter Feeding & Training

All on their own, these playful sea otters are fun to watch. We arrived at the aquarium just in time to watch their trainers come out and feed them. They say they use these feeding sessions to thoroughly check the health of the otters but I think it’s to entertain us as well.
